Francois Grosso

Francois Grosso (1847-1939) is one of the founders of the Union of Owners, the Academia Nissarda, and the "Mother and Child" association. He was also chairman of the Savings Bank and the Trade Tribunal of Nice.

In the Baumettes district, he owned a hotel on the boulevard which now bears his name. François Grosso and his wife gave up all their properties to the city of Nice which dedicated to them a marble monument in the cemetery of the Castle, and a bust in the Colonel Bouvier Square.
