National Day of the Italian Republic

The National Day of the Italian Republic is celebrated every 2 june. 

This date remembers the institutional referendum of the 2nd and 3rd june 1946 by which the Italians voted to express about the form of government, monarchy or republic, to give to their Country, after the fall of the fascism. 

Italy became a republic and the 2nd june celebrates the birth of the Italian nation.
