The profile of the buyer has changed significantly over the last decade (more young people, more women ...), as well as his tastes in housing and his high level standards.
However, despite the large number of French people considering a real estate purchase, the intentions do not always materialize, particularly because of the mismatch between the properties for sale and the wishes of buyers.
In many cases, purchasers prefer apartments with little work to do or better yet renovated properties; these real estate attract a wider and often wealthier cclientele, and are sold faster. But the market is full of flats in poor condition or not up to date in which potential buyers are struggling to project and for which the time of sale is longer.
In a competitive transaction market, the seller must realize that he has to maintain his property and possibly to do some work before offering it for sale, or at least put it to its advantage. It is the role of the real estate professional to advise him in this way.
